The technology fee supports the improvement of technology used by the students at the University of Washington campuses. The Student Technology Fee Committee determines the fee amount. UW students lead the committee, which allocates money for technology resources for general student use. The technology fee you pay each quarter is based on the number of credits you take.

Other Required Fees
These fees support student activities and programs such as ASUW & GPSS Activities, Student Publications, Student Loan Fund, Hall Health Primary Care Center, recreational sports programs, childcare, student legal services, Ethnic Cultural Center and Student Union facilities. The fees you pay each quarter are based on the number of credits you take.

Quarterly U-PASS
Beginning autumn 2011, U-PASS Powered By ORCA will be a universal program for all students who pay Other Required Fees, including students in online degree programs. The U-PASS fee will be automatically charged by UW Student Fiscal Services. Important instructions regarding the U-PASS, its activation and use, and payment deadlines are on the Commuter Services website.
Important Note: The quarterly U-PASS fee will separately appear in your student “Tuition Account Balance” section of MyUW. You will not receive a mailed or e-mailed bill for the U-PASS fee. Payment is due to UW Student Fiscal Services by the third Friday of each quarter.
Registration Fee
A nonrefundable $42 fee paid each quarter at time of registration.
